Back to School Family Workshops

Our Back to School Family Workshops work with Teens and their Parents with dual workhops.

Teens (13 older) Balancing Act - Parents/Pressure/Peers/Power - The youth lecture will discuss the complexity of integrating your Muslim-ness into identity development. We will briefly cover the topics of healthy tips for handling the common stressors that youth are facing how to develop healthy habits, healthy identity development and how to better let parents know when issues arise.

Parents & Teens (13 older) Communicating with Teens - Building the art of communicating. The parent workshop will be interactive and present information on child development up through the adolescent years, highlights diverse methods of helping youth through loving relationships, and covers effective communication tips and pointers in order to help strengthen connection through these potentially tough years

Teen Workshop - 12pm to 1:30pm

Parent Session - 12pm to 1:30pm

Lunch / Salaat - 1:30 to 2:30 pm

Parent & Teen Workshop - 2:30 - 5:30pm
